Why Zen? - Because it's great!
It's a minefield out there.
There are so many web store applications or providers. It is hard to know who's right... and who's not. Where to go? Which one to choose? It's a minefield. We know because we have been asked by clients again and again for shopping carts and we have tried a lot of the packages out there.
We have done extensive research into 20 of the 'Top Shopping Carts' and ZenCart is by far the most flexible, easily configurable, well supported and cost effective.
Reasons!
- It's FREE - so all you're paying for is our specialist knowledge in the design and configuration. There are no software costs.Meaning Return on Investment is likely to be quicker.
- It's FREE - so why settle for anything less capable (both from a design and a functionality perspective). It really is the ultimate shopping cart software.
- It is 'Open Source' which means that there are a host of web guys out there able to add modules and provide technical support.
- It works on standard hosting - so it doesn't need costly servers or expensive hosting packages
- It is quick to build - minimising time to market. So you can get trading faster and recoup your investment quicker.
- It bolts into things like MailChimp, Google Analytics and has a wealth of modules to help with marketing and tracking.
- It has an easy to use admin area for speedy shop managment
- The admin area is accessible (securely) anywhere you have internet access.
What other shopping carts don't tell you.
- They may be 'Free' to start but they cost £50.00/month - that's £600.00 per year on just having the software - ZenCart software is FREE. Genuinely.
- You probably have to configure it yourself from a template. And you know that there will be hundreds of other sites looking ever so similar to yours. On the web, you need to stand out - have your site properly designed by us - using ZenCart.
- They cost very little to buy - but are so complicated to configure you give up (we have on lots of shop software - we have a lot less hair because of it!)
- They don't link into anything except PayPal or Google Checkout. Two worthy payment gateways. But what if you want serious payment protection that checks the card at the time of purchase. As your store grows, you'll probably want to use (in our opinion) more professional payment gateways like Protx (now SagePay), WorldPay and other secure payment gateways. ZenCart handles all this.
- They are still built in Tables... what does this mean? It means that it isn't SEO friendly and it doesn't comply with the Disabilities Act 2005
